How Our Products Are Hand Crafted

Our disposable tableware is made from Areca Palm leaf sheaths.  Arecanut trees grow in south India, mainly in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. As part of the natural growth cycle, the trees shed 8-10 leaves a year. These leaf sheaths are collected and dried in the Sun before stockpiling in the warehouse. These sheaths are usually burned just like any other agriculture waste but making them into disposables gives them a second life . Before the products are made, they are trimmed and washed on day 1. They are then heat pressed into the desired shape on day 2. They are then ‘dry’ cleaned and packed.
